UFS BUSSE & SASSE Workshop

The UFS SASSE team is hereby inviting you to join us for an online combined workshop on the UFS data of the BUSSE (Beginning University Survey of Student Engagement) and SASSE (South African Survey of Student Engagement).

The BUSSE measures entering first-year students’ pre-university academic and co-curricular experiences and their expectations regarding participation in educationally purposeful activities during their first year at a tertiary institution. This data enables an institution to gain a better understanding of the experiences of students. 

The SASSE gathers comprehensive information relating to the extent of student participation in effective educational practices as part of the teaching and learning experience.

Staff who are involved in student success initiatives and first-year lecturers are encouraged to join this workshop, as the UFS data, which will be presented, will be a conversational support to the continuous, internal student success discussions.

MS teams link and calendar invite will be distributed a week before the workshop.
