2025 Africa Day Dialouge with Prof Bonang Mohale and Dr Naledi Pandor Hosted by David Mashabela

The University of the Free State Office for International Affairs is set to host its Eighth Annual Africa Day commemoration in a podcast format. A day that presents an opportunity to reflect on the continent’s progress, challenges, and future potential. As Africa seeks to strengthen its global influence, higher education institutions play a crucial role in shaping knowledge economies, leadership, and innovation. However, challenges such as limited access to quality education, funding constraints, and the need for curriculum transformation remain pressing.

The discussion aims to explore the role of higher education in shaping Africa’s future and its impact on the global stage. We ought to bring together thought leaders to explore the evolving role of African universities in international discourse. The conversation will highlight how these institutions contribute to Africa’s development, drive policy change, and highlight key opportunities, challenges, and strategies for enhancing higher education systems across the continent. Speaking to this will be Prof Bonang Mohale and Dr Naledi Pandor, facilitated by Mr David Mashabela.
