"Higher education innovations in sustainable risk reduction: Bridging the gap between theory and practice".

The colloquium aims to be a high-impact, scientific, academic research platform to help translate empirical findings, recommendations, and solutions for solving pressing societal issues in South Africa and beyond. The colloquium will bring together mostly PhD candidates. However, it is also open for postdoctoral research fellows and Master's students from all over Africa to engage as participants, presenters, or research experts in their various research areas. It is also a platform that aims to deliver research findings to relevant disaster risk management practitioners to contribute to their service delivery mandates.
