This form is intended for University of the Free State students who wish to be considered for inclusion in the UFS delegation to attend the Global Student Wellbeing Summit 2026. The summit will bring together student leaders and practitioners to engage on key dimensions of student well-being, with a strong emphasis on student perspectives in shaping responsive and sustainable interventions.

Applicants are required to complete all sections of the form accurately and submit the necessary supporting documents. Selection will be based on eligibility criteria, academic performance, involvement in student development initiatives, and demonstrated commitment to student well-being and UFS values.

Delegate Selection Criteria:

  • Must be a registered UFS student (undergraduate or postgraduate) in good standing

  • Demonstrated balanced academic performance, with a minimum average of 65% for the 2025 academic year

  • Submission of a written motivation (200–250 words) outlining:

    • Reasons for wanting to attend the summit

    • Area(s) of interest within student well-being or student development

    • How the knowledge gained will be applied to benefit their residence, faculty, organisation, or campus

  • Active participation in at least one Student Affairs-related initiative during 2025

  • Demonstrated interest in student well-being, leadership, inclusivity, or campus development

  • Ability to represent diverse student well-being perspectives (e.g. mental, emotional, social, financial, academic)

Commitment Requirements:

  • Availability to attend the full duration of the summit, including all plenary and allocated sessions

  • Willingness to participate in post-summit institutional initiatives, reviews, and feedback processes

  • Commitment to return early from the June recess to ensure full participation in the summit
