Profile of the presenter: 

Dr Ntombizandile Gcelu is a lecturer in School of Education Studies at the Faculty of Education, University of the Free State. Her research focuses on stakeholder collaboration as a strategy in Management Leadership Education Law and Policies. The dynamics of collaboration, the indicators of collaboration, collaboration with rural communities, collaborative initiatives for sustainable leadership in rural schools. Her other interest is on incorporating Ubuntu in leadership and professionalism and studies that are not limited to one methodology including the new methodologies. She is one of the three conveners of the World Education Research Association (WERA) International Research Networks (IRNs) in the UFS in Africa. Her experience involves but not limited to coordinating research for SIG, supervision and assessment of Honors, Masters and PhD students internally and externally. She holds a PhD from Walter Sisulu University (WSU).

To define qualitative research.
To describe qualitative research methods/ approaches/ types
To understand the four commonly used data collection tools
