The workshop on ‘Article from thesis’ might be perfect for you.

Background

Academics and postgraduate students often miss the opportunity to publish good research, because they do not know how to convert the information in their theses or dissertations to articles. Owing to a lack of experience in this regard, potentially valuable contributions to the body of knowledge are lost.

 

During this two-day hands-on workshop you will receive step-by-step guidance about the process, and have the opportunity to analyse your own dissertation/thesis in order to select relevant material for an article. You will be able to plan several articles from a doctoral thesis. There will be feedback on your work from the facilitator.

 

Workshop requirements:

• Participants need either a completed research report/thesis/dissertation or else they must have at least analysed and written up their results.
• Supervisors can bring a master’s or a doctoral student’s work.
