Purpose of the workshop

 

The purpose of the workshop is develop attendees’ capacity to design a questionnaire. Towards this, the following topics will inter alia be addressed.

 

1. What to consider when deciding on the use of a questionnaire
2. Types of questionnaires that can be considered
3. Types of questions that can be used
4. Aligning the questionnaire with your research questions, the theoretical framework and literature study
5. Considering the analyses that will be done
6. Constructing questions
7. Validity and reliability of a questionnaire
8. Common pitfalls during the design of a questionnaire
