Presenter: Dr Mamello Sekhoacha

Target audience: UFS staff, postgraduate students and postdoc fellows

 

The postgraduate school will be presenting a workshop on ‘Research proposal writing’. The aim of the session is to improve participants skills in writing concise high quality project proposal.

Profile of the presenter:

Dr Sekhoacha holds a PhD in Pharmacology and an International qualification in Clinical Research Association. She has over 10 years of experience in drug discovery research encompassing clinical trials. She is member of the National Health Research Council of South Africa, a Chairperson of the Norms and Standards committee responsible for setting Ethics guidelines, Good Clinical Practice guidelines, and the legislative framework governing Ethics in Research in South Africa. Dr Sekhoacha is a member of the Ethics Quality and Promotion committee mandated to capacitate, monitor, and audit Ethics committees in the country, a member of the Complaints and Disciplinary committee of the Council. She has participated in Clinical Health Research as a Principal Investigator, Monitor (CRA), Coordinator, from protocol design to applications to regulatory authorities both at Provincial and National levels.
